Bacon and Brussel Sprouts Salad via Pinch of Yum
One of the things I’m excited to do more of now that I have more free time, is to cook. Not only that, but I’m really trying to revamp my eating habits. I work out a lot, but I am notorious for choosing the most unhealthy items on a menu and eating the worst things at home simply because they are the easiest to make. Since I got back to Dallas after the new year, I’ve cut out almost all complex carbohydrates and gluten (with the exception of some quinoa) and all processed foods. For breakfast I’ve been eating a lot of fruit, lunch consists mostly of salads, and dinner is typically a lean meat and vegetables. I’ve also limited drinking alcohol to one night a week. Here are some recipes I’m looking forward to trying as I continue on this clean eating adventure. Be sure to check out my Foodie Favorites Pinterest Board for tons more! Beware, the board also includes a lot of unhealthy (but delicious) recipe ideas too… Enter at your own risk!
