I typically only watch award shows for the gowns, but last night’s Emmy’s were pretty entertaining! As far as the gowns were concerned, I was particularly overjoyed to see color overtaking the red carpet. There were very few neutral gowns, but more a focus on jewel tones.

Zooey Deschanel wowed in this powder blue Reem Acra gown – it perfectly compliments her fair complexion and is a very flattering silhouette. Julie Bowen looked outstanding in a chartreuse fit-and-flare gown by Monique Lhuillier – such a shocking color that really made her stand out in a good way. Allison Williams (from one of my new favorite shows, Girls) is my number #1 pick for best dressed. She exudes class and glamour in this emerald-green Oscar de la Renta peplum number. Amazing!
