Dress For Success | The Style Scribe

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’m really making an effort to alter my eating habits. In addition to that, I’m also making some significant changes to my workout routine. When I was working full-time, going to classes at FlyWheel and Core Fusion was really the easiest way for me to get in a workout during my busy weeks. They are both really amazing classes, but I need more variety and am currently focusing on certain parts of my body that those classes didn’t focus a lot of time on (I’ve started to do more strength training and it’s making a huge difference!). Now that I have the ability to work out in the middle of the day and at any time, I joined Equinox so that I could have the flexibility to take one of their classes or just hit the gym whenever I want. What’s great about Equinox is they have dozens of classes – pilates, weight training, yoga, cardio, barre classes, spin, etc. You name it, they’ve got it! Equinox also has a state of the art gym with a ton of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights so that I have the freedom to do a completely different workout every day.

Now that I’ve found a routine that I love, I need to upgrade my workout wardrobe. When going to the gym, I feel like one needs to dress for success. When I’m wearing cute and comfortable clothes, I feel more confident and tend to stay longer. Is that weird? Anyway, I found some amazing performance pieces by Nike at Nordstrom that will get you out of any rut. I’ve stockpiled these capri pants (they’re my fave) and I love these animal print running shoes. You’re apparently supposed to trade in your athletic shoes after six months, and I’m way overdue!
