  • Over the weekend in NYC I had the chance to pick up some new spring pieces to give my wardrobe a little color. Kate Spade gave me the VIP treatment and allowed me to select a bag to be gifted (I picked this bag in Geranium – a shocking watermelon pink, not yet available online) as well as 50% off the entire store. Obviously, I took advantage of the discount. I bought this pretty printed blouse, a pair of bow flats and a pair of polka-dot sneaks from the Keds x Kate Spade collaboration (both not yet available online). Click here to shop the latest new arrivals from Kate Spade or head to your local KS boutique! In addition to my stop in Kate Spade, I invested in two new pairs of sunglasses from Celine and Fendi. I’m particularly excited about this pair. Isn’t the pink accent fun?
  • Whether you like it or not, backless mules are back. One of the years biggest shoe trends of 2014, the mule is better than ever. This pair by Joe’s Jeans has the mule silhouette but isn’t as chunky of a look, which I appreciate. This white perforated pair by Jenni Kayne is very fashion forward, while this Vince pair would make a great spring/summer basic that would go with everything. Which is your favorite and what is your take on the mule?
  • I can’t believe that in only two weeks time I’ll be in Carmel, California for a week long vacay. You have no idea how much I’m craving a relaxing getaway, especially after such a busy and exhausting New York fashion week. Carmel is all about long walks on the beach, wine tastings, delicious food, and local shopping. I’ve gotten some great inspiration from Alicia’s post on her recent trip to Carmel. Have you been to Carmel By The Sea? If so, I’d love your recommendations on places to go/eat/shop! Comment on this post if you have any suggestions!
