As someone who has a very long torso, I always loved the idea of the maillot but never could find one to fit me properly. I finally found one I love that is long enough (this one by KORE Swim) and now I’ve got maillots on the brain! They really are everywhere you look these days. Gone are the days when everyone at the pool is wearing itsy bitsy string bikinis – it may even be considered more fashion forward to go for a chic one-piece or at least a vintage-inspired high-waisted bikini than to opt for a barely there two-piece. Here are some of my favorite maillots for this summer, styled for any age!

I love one pieces too, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a bikini or 2 piece (even growing up on a caribbean island). One pieces are so classic and chic like you said.

How did I miss that great tunic at J.Crew?! It’s perfect for summer. I’m also a huge fan of the maillot and one-pieces in general. They’re so much more chic than baring all.

I feel with youn- I have the same problem and I’m a size 4/6 at the bust and an 8 at the hip – doesn’t make it any easier :-/
I LOVE these looks! Unfortunately I have the exact opposite problem- a very short torso. I look ridiculous in cut-outs, but that fluro yellow suit might work for me. Great inspo!

I bought my second maillot this year and I love it! I still own and like my bikinis, but especially for vacationing with family and spending time at the beach with my friends and their kids, it’s just easier and more comfortable to be a bit more covered! Especially with so many great options lately that feel sexy instead of dowdy. Love the printed Mara Hoffman one!
