Being a fan of basic black, I’m always looking to collect more classic pieces that will stand the test of time in my wardrobe. This pleated Milly tank is one of them. It’s perfectly simple and looks wonderful with just a few light accessories for summer, and just as great layered under a leather jacket come fall. Paired with my favorite tote and a trusty pair of shorts from Old Navy, it’s the ideal black ensemble for summer. To add a little dimension and a pop of print, I styled it with my new Loeffler Randall espadrilles (which are super comfortable, by the way). I like this pair/print because they don’t look summer specific – I think they’ll be a nice transitional piece to fall while it stays hot here (through October, I might add). These espadrilles are an obvious travel choice because of the ease of slipping them on and off (tricky shoes at airport security are the worst!). Some other shoes from Loeffler Randall I’m coveting right now include these mixed media sandals and this pair of boots.
