Last weekend Dallas was blessed with record low temps, so I took advantage and paired my new Theory dress with my go-to summer jacket (both pieces are on sale!). The clean lines of the dress make it a little dressy for a regular night out, but with a more casual layering piece it’s the perfect weekend look! I finally pulled out my first shoe purchase for fall, these flared ankle boots by Gianvito Rossi. I couldn’t wait one more minute! You know me, no sense of delayed gratification. Aren’t they fun? A little sleeker than your typical bootie. A few other boots I’m hoping to add to my arsenal this fall include this flat over-the-knee boot, and these western sling-backs that I mentioned last week. Maybe I’ll find something on my trip this week!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that yesterday I jetted off to California with my mom, sister and grandmother for our annual girls trip to Carlsbad! I’m obviously thrilled to get away from the Texas heat for awhile and soak up the sunshine.
