Do you ever just want to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch? I do, especially when it comes to home decor. Like me, I’m sure you all have collected various pieces throughout the years vs creating a room all in one fell swoop. I always tend to lean towards more traditional, classic looks at home, but lately I’ve been craving color.
Right before fashion week I decided to take my hair in a different direction – for the longest time I’ve always gone for a more warm, honey blonde but I’ve decided to be brave and test out a more icy blonde look. Since it’s so warm in Texas for most of the year, the honey blonde has worked and looked great (thanks, Monty!) since I’m also able to have a little color in my face (and thanks to you, Dr. Dennis Gross!).
Happy Friday y’all! I can’t tell you how nice it’s been to be at home in Dallas and not have any events or big plans this week. While I love doing events and going on fun trips, it’s a relief to have a few weeks off from travel so I can catch up on blog work, see my friends and get back into a routine.
Lately I’ve been more and more impressed with J.Crew – I used to think some of their pieces were a little overpriced for what they were (and sometimes still do), but I truly believe the quality and styling of J.Crew’s pieces within the last year has improved immensely. The sweaters are soft (no longer scratchy), the fit of the clothes is more accurate and the prints & cuts are much more flattering.
