A couple weeks back I took an afternoon away from my laptop to partake in the State Fair of Texas! My friend Dori (who also works from home) was able to slip away for the day, so we spent the afternoon stuffing our faces with some delicious fried foods, riding the rides and even watched some pig races. If you didn’t get a chance to go this year, go in 2015 and definitely go to the pig races – I’ve never laughed so hard in my life! It was the perfect fall day – bright and sunny, but the air was crisp and cool. Since we were doing a lot of walking around and needed to be comfortable, I pulled out my favorite Old Navy sweater and jeans, and paired them with my Rag & Bone boots and new Kate Spade scarf.
This dream scarf is actually part of Kate Spade’s on purpose campaign – the brand is working with and teaching 150 Rwandan women to become profitable suppliers to the brand and to promote economic stability that will help transform their entire community.
