There are few things I love more than a chic, all-black look. Last week I showcased a few favorite black basics under $100, so I felt it was only appropriate to feature a monochrome black ensemble! If you’re not on a strict budget this fall and don’t need to stick to the under $100 rule, there are a few key black pieces that you need to see/lust after/buy (in addition to this look of course).
#1 – a luxe pair of leather or suede leggings. My favorite pair of leggings from last fall are back and better than ever! What’s wonderful about this style is that it looks amazing with heels and flats, but they’re thin enough to wear tucked into your favorite boots too. This pair more elevated than jeans or jersey leggings, aren’t bulky, and are timeless. If leather is more your speed, try this pair (own ’em and love ’em!) or this faux leather option.
#2 – this season’s hottest bag style: the bucket bag. I borrowed this one from THE OUTNET to shoot in London and it is amazing! So sleek and under $250. Halston Heritage, Saint Laurent, See by Chloe and Gucci all have gorgeous options too!
#3 – a skirt with flare. Like the one in this post, I’m always looking for edgy pieces in staple shades. Even though the style is somewhat fashion forward, because it’s in basic black, it will stand the test of time. Whether it features fringe, an avant garde bow or a ruffled, waterfall hem, just pair your skirt with a soft sweater and heels for an effortless, chic fall/winter look.
#4 – beautiful ballet flats. A classic, comfortable shoe that is found at Chanel and Target alike, it’s a good alternative when boots or booties don’t work. This pair from SJP’s Nordstrom collection is the next item on my all-black wish list. A few other pairs I’m craving include this scalloped pair by Chloe (and these!), this patent Prada pair, and these Saint Laurent flats.
