Last Saturday I spent the day discovering the historic (but new to me) neighborhood of Notting Hill. This area of London is one (of very many, I’m sure) that I had not seen on prior trips to the city, so I was eager to explore Notting Hill solo to get the full experience. I just had the taxi drop me off on a random corner, and then all I did was just wander around for a few hours – sometimes that’s the best way to learn the lay of the land and discover the prettiest spots. Notting Hill is as charming as it appears in the namesake movie featuring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant – you’ll find many colorful flats, overgrown blooms and picturesque streets. Not only that, but the neighborhood boasts some amazing shopping destinations. I stopped in Maison Scotch, Anya Hindmarch, Jigsaw, Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and a few more during my visit.

In addition to the great shopping, beautiful homes and landscapes, Notting Hill is also home to the Portobello Market – stay tuned for a look at my quick adventure through the market and my favorite brunch spot in London (that also happens to be in Notting Hill)! Hope you enjoyed all the photos!
