My friend Amber travels all the time for work, so when I’m going somewhere new or to a place I haven’t visited in a long time, I always ask her where to shop first. Not only is she well-traveled, but she has incredible taste! Because rewardStyle‘s international office is based in London, she’s over here several times a year – since many of the European brands are now available in the US (Zara, Topshop, H&M), I wanted to discover some other lesser known retailers while I am here. Apparently Scandinavian brands are all the rage, because Amber highly recommended new-to-me stores COS and & Other Stories. Both brands are high street (fast fashion at a lower cost) with a minimalist approach to design. You’ll find the most basic but chic items like structured, boxy coats, oversized sweaters, sophisticated button-downs and simple leather accessories. I purchased two midi skirts at COS (stay tuned..) but I really hit a home run at & Other Stories.
I actually had to hit the dressing room three different times because there were so many pieces I wanted to try on and I couldn’t carry it all! Luckily for all of you, COS and & Other Stories have both just opened in New York City (literally in the last couple of weeks)! Shop online here and here or stop in on your next trip to the big apple!
Sweater: & Other Stories, Blouse: & Other Stories, Jeans: James Jeans, Bag: Chanel, Hat: Reiss, Shoes: Rag & Bone, Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Earrings: J.Crew, Rings: c/o Gorjana and Gabriela Artigas, Bracelets: c/o Brandy Pham and FitBit
