The temps have dropped significantly over the last two days here in Dallas, which means I’m able to don my favorite combo – coats + sweaters + jeans. Comfy, cozy and the easiest outfit to put together that still looks classic and chic! Neutrals are the name of the game, and in the spirit of everyone doing New Year’s resolutions, one of my big goals for 2015 is to simplify my life. Cut out the BS and nonsense, which includes unnecessary and impractical items in my wardrobe. I’m really working on refining my outfits to closet staples and basics. It’s what I wear most, after all! One item I did pick up right after the new year is this pair of sleek New Balance sneakers – they are grey with rose gold metallic details. So cute, right?! Love ’em. Speaking of cleaning out my closet… I donate a lot of my clothes, but anytime there’s a designer item I can’t or won’t wear ever again (my old Jason Wu size 2 cocktail dress, for example), I take it to Uptown Consignment in Dallas. I drop a bunch of items off every few months to keep my closet uncluttered, and pick up a pretty big check each time I go. It’s the best! Plus, they have amazing gently used items like Chanel bags, fur coats, and the like. If you’re looking to sell any higher-priced items in your closet, or pick up a vintage Chanel bag, be sure to stop by Uptown Consignment!

Yes, it’s been a bit chilly here in Houston too. So lots of sweaters are on rotation. I got some new New Balance too. Their on a scheduled post for nest week. Your metallic ones are nice. Very sleek.
