If you’ve read this blog since day one, you probably know I love me some Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang. Both designers do such an incredible job at coming up with cutting edge silhouettes, both with their womenswear and their accessories. In addition, both brands are known for their comfortable, cool attitude that street style photographers flock to season after season. Some pieces that take the cake? I for one am obsessed with this wave-hem skirt by 3.1 Phillip Lim. It’s got a classic A-line look, but the unique hem and embroidered detailing make this skirt anything but ordinary. It’s a great option for a work event or cocktail party when paired with a silky blouse or embellished top, and then transitions easily for a more daytime look with a basic sweater and oxfords.
The other item I want to mention is this Alexander Wang Chastity clutch. I’m a person who likes to be hands free, especially if there are drinks involved or I’m forced to stand around for awhile. I’m such a klutz, so if I’m forced to wedge a clutch in between my ribcage and arm in order to hold a drink, I’m likely to drop one, if not both things. The solution? This particular bag has a chain for those moments. You can either wear it around you arm, or let the chain hang and hold it as a clutch! It’s a very luxe look without the obnoxious price tag that most designers put out there. With black, white and cognac lizard-embossed leather, this clutch is super versatile too.
A few other favorites from Phillip Lim you should check out include: this mini Pashli in peach (just bought it for spring!), this pinstripe tunic, these nude flat sandals and this adorable cloque bomber jacket! For Alex Wang, you can’t miss these perfectly pink pumps, this chunky knit hoodie (for your next beach getaway!), and this summery striped tee. I also can’t look away from this zippy ecru blazer. Gorgeous!

Adore both designers as well, although the Alexander Wang show was a bit too goth for me for fall. Love that skirt too:)
