Similar to my trusty Burberry trench, this Club Monaco coat has been on an endless loop in my closet. I just can’t stop wearing it! Neutrals pieces like this coat and these nude Manolos are essential to creating the perfect outfit. Because they seem to both be repeat offenders, I wanted to create more looks with them. That’s why when Shopbop had its Big Event sale a couple weeks back, I picked up three new pairs of denim for spring/summer that I knew would pair effortlessly with these classics. You may be shocked, but not a single one was white! The first pair I picked up (and the one I’m most thrilled about) is this grey pair by Rag & Bone. I have quite a bit of grey in my closet already, but mostly its made up of winter pieces like sweaters and coats. In my opinion, grey is as much a neutral as beige, black or white, so when I spot something fabulous in a smokey shade I can’t resist snagging it!
The next pair is this bleached style by Citizens of Humanity. I loved the high-rise, skinny fit, but the barely-there rips and subtle distressed look sold me. This pair is a great alternative to white jeans this summer for a more casual daytime feel. Finally, I picked up another pair of my favorite J BRAND style, the Maria, in a darker wash. It’ll be a go-to for the next couple months as the weather keeps teasing us with warm days and cold nights. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of these!
