On Monday, Dallas experienced the most perfect spring day. The sun was out and shining, it was just over 70 degrees, and there was not a cloud in the sky. Although we don’t have cherry blossoms blooming here like they have in Los Angeles (and hopefully soon in NYC), I did manage to find a few streets in Highland Park lined with trees covered in pretty white blossoms – so heavenly, don’t you think? They’re certainly a great backdrop for this outfit! While some of you may consider 70 degrees warm, trust me, it’s not. If you’re not from around here, it gets above 100+ (sometimes even above 110) in the summer in Texas. That’s why I’m taking advantage of this mild weather and flaunting a lighter spring coat!

I scored up this pale pink gem by Karl Lagerfeld at NET-A-PORTER last week – isn’t she a beauty? The color of this coat is so subtle, it’s practically a neutral – which we all know I love. I know I’ll wear this coat a lot with more casual pieces (like these jeans), but there’s something so polished about it paired with a delicate skirt. Karl’s eponymous line is actually much more budget-conscious than one would guess – especially considering he’s been the fashion director/creative director at Chanel and also creative director Fendi for years. The pricing is more aligned with more elevated contemporary brands (this coat is under $700), which I think we can all get on board with! In his current collection on NET-A-PORTER, you’ll see an abundance of neutrals (hallelujah!) and wardrobe classics like this precious little black dress, this sexy satin-trimmed blazer, and a sleek pair of tuxedo pants. If you haven’t discovered his namesake collection, do it today!
