We’ve had just about the nicest weather this past week then we’ve ever had here in Dallas! It almost feels as if I’ve been transported to southern California. It’s been beautiful and sunny, but with a welcome breeze – or as you can probably see in this photo, quite a bit of wind. I’m happy to shed those winter layers and opt for lighter pieces and colors. As part of the launch for Lord & Taylor’s 424 Fifth collection (it’s contemporary and cool little sis), they let me pick an item from the website. I chose these sandals – and why wouldn’t I? Aren’t they adorable? The nude slip-on style is neutral and laid back, but the embellishments make these sandals a glam option for daytime wear. Did I mention these babies are under $100? They’re also available in black and army green – I’m kinda thinking I need the green pair too…

Speaking of light colors, pastels and creamy neutrals are reigning supreme in the handbag market this season. I received this bag as a Christmas gift two years ago, and I’m glad to see that it’s been reproduced again this year! It’s been a wonderful pop of color in my spring/summer wardrobe, especially when the rest of my outfit is simple. It’s also the perfect tote for errands – it’s got two zippered sides, plus an open section in the middle. Great for keeping your keys, wallet, makeup, and other accessories separate from other items you pick up throughout the day. For me, that’s these fresh garden roses. My fave! This classic tote comes in a bunch of other colors – a few favorites include pale pink, ice blue (with silver hardware!), and a gorgeous grey.
