Lately I’ve been stocking up on a lot of denim. It’s probably wise, considering the weather will be quite a bit cooler across the pond and I’ll likely be wearing them daily.

It’s also a good thing because I managed to rip my new favorite pair of blue jeans while lounging on the couch a couple nights ago – if you follow me on Snapchat (username: merrittbeck) you saw it. Pretty embarrassing, but totally hilarious. It’s really a shame since I’d only worn them four or five times (at most). They ripped along the back pocket seam – not sure if it was my fault or the the quality of fabric/stitching, but I’m kinda hoping it was the latter (insert blushing emoji here).

Anyway, in addition to ordering a few new pairs of blue jeans to try and replace the ones that ripped, I also have picked up a couple that are a little more unique. These flares (on sale!) are the first pair I picked up (which you saw on Monday). The next pair I bought were these skinnies that I found at COS in NYC. They’re not quite grey, not quite acid wash – I like how they straddle the two. They’re still a neutral while being slightly edgy too.
