As a blogger (and a compulsive shopper), my wardrobe is always changing and evolving with fresh items on the reg. In order to keep my closet (and life) organized, I’m always selling and donating things that I don’t wear. Every few months I take a big load to Uptown Consignment (any brand names or designer pieces) and everything else to Goodwill.

I’ve noticed that the things I am fine parting with are mostly statement pieces and prints. The most basic, simple items are always the ones that seem to stick around. These shoes for example – I’ve had these for four or five years now. They are the perfect black suede pumps – the heel isn’t too tall and they are that pretty pointed style that will always be chic.

I also don’t think I could ever get rid of this bag. It’s still one of my absolute favorite handbags, but I got it almost four years ago! You may remember I’m quite the hoarder of Equipment blouses too – I’ve never sold or donated a single one. I just know I’m going to wear them all again and again! What are your favorite functional pieces?
