charlottenburg August 31, 2015Berlin I spent a good portion of the weekend editing my photos from Berlin and Prague so I can share them with you in a timely fashion! Were you able to read my Amsterdam City Guide on Thursday? It’s got the rundown on where to stay, what to eat and things to do – don’t miss it! You can read all my travel posts here. Because I took so many pictures at a few of the palaces we visited in and around Berlin, I figured I’d do dedicated blog posts for those – in addition to the individual posts, I’ll also be posting a comprehensive Berlin City Guide this coming Thursday, so stay tuned! The palace you’re seeing here today is Charlottenburg. This one is smack dab in the middle of Berlin, so it’s very accessible and easy to do in just a couple of hours. It was built at the end of the 17th century and has a heavy rococo and baroque influence in the design. My favorite parts of the castle included the Porcelain Cabinet, the chapel and the beautifully manicured gardens. Check back on Thursday for a couple interior shots of the palace!
