J.Crew Striped Tee | The Style Scribe

In the last year or so I’ve really focused my attention on buying only the simplest pieces that I can re-wear again and again, and style in a hundred different ways. One of the latest basics that found its way into my closet is this striped long-sleeved tee. It’s the perfect blank canvas for all of my transitional go-to’s, like this trench I picked up this spring (which is back in stock for fall!!).

Here are a few more items I picked up that will continue to be wearable staples all fall/winter long…

  1. This colorblock poncho/cape I picked up at ASOS is gonna be so useful! I actually wore it last night, with it being in the 50’s in London. Looks great with all my favorite black basics!
  2. I recently picked up these Cole Haan boots to give my favorite Rag & Bone boots a break. I love those Newbury’s, but sometimes you just need a different look. Also, this pair has a lower heel so they should be super useful over here!
  3. It’s finally cool enough for me to pull out my Vince leggings! These things are so darn comfortable. I might as well be wearing pajamas. BUT, they look so chic with all my capes and oversized sweaters!
  4. On my recent trip to Bath (I got back yesterday!), I stopped in Oasis. You may have seen this brand on ASOS? That’s where I first heard about it. It’s pretty inexpensive but they have so many on-trend pieces! I picked up this two-in-one sweater top (can’t wait to wear with leather leggings!) and this sleeveless bow-neck blouse.
