With London Fashion Week over and things falling back into place (like my routine BarreCore class, plans with friends), I’ve been reaching for comfy, cozy basics to get me through the week. While it’s pretty chilly here, it gets really stuffy and hot inside buildings – especially the tube, my main mode of transportation.

With that in mind, I opt for lighter tops (this one is a go-to) and then layer with a heavier knit cape or poncho like this one from ASOS. I opt for these instead of coats so I don’t have to remove any layers or lug any extra weight around. It makes the journey much more comfortable and convenient!

Unless I’m already planning on taking taxis or UberX, I almost always opt for a comfortable heeled boot – either my Rag & Bone Newbury boots, or this new pair I picked up from Cole Haan. Sturdy enough for even the most jagged cobblestone roads, but sleek and elevated enough for a night out!
