Happy Friday! I bet you guys are ready for the weekend! I definitely am. Yesterday we arrived in Florence and will be spending the next five days exploring the vast city and it’s beautiful nearby medieval villages. Follow me on Snapchat (username: merrittbeck) and Instagram for an inside look!

With the holidays coming up and weddings every weekend, I bet you’re on the lookout for some new cocktail dresses to keep you looking extra stylish this season. Look no further than AG Phillips! Haven’t heard of it? I’ll tell you a little bit about it…

I met the designer, Andrea Phillips, last October while visiting London (of all places!!). We met up for drinks through a mutual friend connection (thanks Frances!), and hit it off right away. It didn’t take long for our conversation to turn to fashion and she let it slip she was a designer herself! A fan of ladylike looks and sophisticated silhouettes, I was immediately drawn to her collection. While the luxe textures and European fabrics are certainly an attractive component, I find the practical nature of the dresses most alluring. You’ll find pockets on every full-skirted dress and all of the hem-lengths are modest enough fro all age groups.

Andrea was sweet enough to send me a piece from her fall/winter collection, and I chose the Chelsea dress. I adored the subtle sexiness of the sheer neckline, paired with a flattering fitted waist and loose skirt. It’s an elegant, yet modern take on the LBD and I love it! A couple other pieces I’m coveting from the collection include this rich red floral jacquard dress (inspired by the walls at Buckingham Palace!), and the Emily dress which is ideal for any kind of work event!

PS – if you’re based in Dallas, you can check out the collection over at Neiman Marcus NorthPark!! Don’t miss it!
