I reeeeally wish I’d booked an extra day or two in Miami! With all the shoots we did, we only had one full day to lay in the sun and play by the beach. I already miss the warm weather! Needless to say, I’m ready for Texas to bring on the heat.

One of my favorite purchases this spring was this tropical-print BCBGMAXAZRIA dress. This kind of silhouette is one of my go-to’s. Anything that accentuates my waist is A-Okay in my book! With my Hawaii trip in May and San Diego coming this summer, I know I’ll be wearing this dress a bunch.

Speaking of trips! I’m elated to be heading back to Austin next week. Now I bet you’re thinking I’m going back for SXSW, but you’d be wrong. I’ve actually never once attended SXSW or ACL, and I’m from Austin! Blasphemy, I know! I’ve just never really been a festival gal. I have fun at the occasional concert, but going to watch bands play all day long and in potentially scorching sun just isn’t on my radar. I’m going back to Austin this trip to hang out with my family and then celebrate my stepdad’s birthday the weekend of the 18th! I’ll be spending the entire week with my favorite people and I couldn’t be more anxious to get there. I’m also going to be shooting some more recipes in my mom’s gorgeous kitchen. Can you really blame me?
