Spring Flare | The Style Scribe

As many of you probably know, Texas gets incredibly toasty in the summer. By the time July rolls around, you will no longer see me sporting jeans or pants. It’s just too dang hot! That’s why I’m still trying to get as much use out of my favorite denim before I’m not able to stand the heat any longer. I don’t know about you, but I often get sick of wearing the same silhouettes over and over again, so I want to make sure I have some variety while I still can. It’s certainly warm enough to already be wearing dresses and shorts every day, but I’m trying to prolong that as long as possible!

A couple pairs I haven’t worn in a while include these two flared styles. I picked the pale pair up around this time last year at Stella McCartney and wore them a bunch last spring/summer! I also took them with me to London and wore them through September. The soft blue color is ideal for this time of year when I’m reaching for a lot of white, pale pink and nude.

The black pair I picked up on major sale over Thanksgiving and wore often over the holidays. They somehow got stuffed into the back of my closet until I was doing a little spring cleaning and discovered them again! Both pairs of flares look great with all my new tops for spring – I love reimagining tried and true pieces in my closet and making them work season after season.
