We all know how much I love neutrals and great basics. Those wear-with-anything and wear-to-everything pieces that consistently look chic and put together. I wear a lot of nude and blush accessories during the summertime, but I’ve been looking for a versatile brown bag that will be useful this season and the coming fall season (kinda like the top in Monday’s post). I find those transitional staples get the most wear of all the things in my wardrobe.

A couple weeks ago I picked up this Coach Edie Shoulder Bag in the richest shade of cognac. The luxe cognac color goes with e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. It’s especially gorgeous this time of year with all my favorite white dresses and chic basics. Since it’s not a chocolate brown, it still looks amazing with black and can be worn year-round! Bingo. Another bonus? This bag is suuuuper lightweight. As someone who has had various back problems (both upper and lower back pain for two very different reasons), it’s a relief when I can find a bag that is nearly weightless. This bag is a wonderful travel companion with the crossbody strap, but you also have the option to wear it on your arm or over your shoulder.
