On our Celebrity Solstice cruise we made a very quick stop in Victoria (like five hours?), and the number one thing on our list was to visit The Butchart Gardens. It’s about a 25 minute drive from the wharf/center of town, but soooo worth the trip! If you’re a fan of florals, gardens and all the above, put it at the top of your list! It was INCREDIBLE.
It was pretty chilly that day in Victoria, so although I’m wearing what looks like an off-season ensemble, it was perfect for our afternoon/evening of exploring. I picked up this easy striped tank on sale at Banana Republic before I left – it’s lightweight and simple, making it ideal for pairing with any number of items in my closet and packing for any kind of trip! Another amazing basic I scored from Banana is this fine wool sweater – this weight is the kind I like to wear throughout fall under jackets and vests. It’s not heavy at all, but still keeps me cozy and comfortable!
I also really want to mention these jeans – I wore them in this post last week too, but with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale it would have gotten lost in the shuffle! I actually snagged this pair on major markdown when SCOOP NYC closed it’s Dallas boutique, but luckily they are still available here (only not on sale, unfortunately). I love the skinny fit paired with the distressed look and frayed hems – a little edgy and fun, don’t you think?
