bag envy

This week was super short for me, but boy have the days been long! Upon landing at Love Field at 4pm and retrieving all of my luggage, I had just enough time to drop it all off at the house and then run to the UPS store to pick up my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! My intern arrived at 5:30, so I had less than 45 minutes to try everything on and throw together some outfits to shoot. I wouldn’t have been in such a rush, but she was leaving town Wednesday for a trip! Luckily we managed to get a couple looks taken care of, but I’m planning to shoot a bunch more when she comes back in on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There’s SO much goodness from this sale!

You may have seen some of it if you caught my try-on session over on SnapChat yesterday! I started it at noon CST, so you still have time to watch it this morning if you didn’t get a chance to yesterday. I linked to everything I shared in the videos on THE SHOP in the SnapChat category, and will be featuring the ones I’m keeping in outfit posts over the next couple of weeks! One item that is not part of the sale (but that is inexpensive!) is this super soft top. The tie-front detail gives it an effortless twist (so punny, I know) that adds interest to an otherwise basic white tank. This must-have is under $40 and comes in five other great colors to mix and match with this fall. I’m thinking I should grab the black one next! Perfect for layering under leather jackets and other toppers, don’t you think? I’m wearing a size small!

PS: this bag is one I borrowed from my sister. I definitely attempted to steal it from her! Definitely have bag envy.
