Neutrals, neutrals, neutrals. Yet another word I probably use way too frequently, but it just begs to be said! On the day-to-day, you can usually find me in some kind of white or black top, jeans and neutrals accessories. While I definitely love to dress things up with color, sparkle or something else for a night out, I keep things pretty simple during the day. Outfits like these are often the ones I love best – they are streamlined, chic and sophisticated! As you’ve heard me say before, I’ve been in need of a new bag or two in the softer neutral department: think stone grey, nude and other colors of that variety. Over the last couple of years I’ve noticed I really only reach for my tote bag styles during the day, unless I have a meeting or special event I’m planning to go to. Unfortunately, this is the handbag style I lack! I have totes in dark colors, but for some reason hadn’t managed to find any lighter neutral styles I liked.
While I still haven’t found “the one” (the soft nude tote I craved all summer long), I did find a creamy camel tote for a pretty great price that will be a gorgeous year-round piece. The color is just a couple shades lighter than my favorite Givenchy bag, but the style is very different and better suited for travel. The Givenchy Antigona bag is so structured (which is great!), but makes it difficult to pack or fit under the seat in front of you on a flight. Since I’ve gotten so much use out of the Givenchy bag over the last two years, I just know I’m going to get my money’s worth with this tote too. Plus, it features textured leather! Hopefully it will be somewhat scratch resistant and last a long time!
One other wardrobe staple I snagged recently is this beige Gucci belt. I’ve really loved the pearl Gucci belt my mom gave me for Valentine’s Day, and think this more basic style will be a great addition for everyday wear. It adds a polished touch to any outfit! The hardware is sort of in between gold and silver, so I think that’ll make it easy to style with any handbag or jewelry! For your reference, I have the size 90 in the belt. This size gives me some wiggle room on both ends!
