As a fair blonde, some of my favorite colors (and most flattering) to wear are soft neutrals like nude, tan and grey. While perusing my fall/winter wardrobe, I noticed I was lacking those colors in regards to footwear. All of my boots are either black or cognac! This season I decided to invest in two great neutral pairs of boots. The knee-high style is back and better than ever, so I decided to opt for that look instead of the typical over-the-knee boot. I already have three pairs of OTK boots anyway, so it was probably time to diversify!
The first pair I picked up is this luxe leather pair by Gianvito Rossi! The color is the most beautiful shade of dark beige, which looks amazing with everything from blue jeans to fall floral dresses. Being such a versatile color, I know I’ll be able to wear these boots with nearly every sweater + jean/legging combo in my closet. They are advertised as a “slouchy boot”, however I’ve had a little trouble getting them to stay slouchy. I think they look great as is too, so no complaints, but I would love to figure out how to scrunch them down (if you have any ideas – send them my way)!
It just so happens that these boots match my go-to Givenchy bag and this new cutie I picked up during the Shopbop sale a couple weeks back! The faux fur piece is detachable, but I love the fun touch it adds to the bag. Also, the faux fur actually feels like fur, which I almost never say about anything faux fur.
Last but not least, this ruffle cuff sweater was actually an awesome under $60 find from LOFT! I love the sweater + shirt combo – it’s an effortless, sophisticated piece you can truly wear from work to weekend. I’m wearing a small for your reference. It’s so freaking adorable! Stay tuned to find out the other pair of boots I picked up for the season…

I always buy so much black & cognac too when it comes to shoes & bags. But these boots are so gorgeous. I can feel that butter leather from here:). Also, your hair looks amazing! I’m seriously thinking about chopping mine.
