Finallyyyy sharing my outfits from New York! I wanted to wait to share them until after the holidays when I knew people would actually be on their computers again. It’s not often I have fabulously charming backdrops to shoot in front of! I was so lucky to have found this AirBnB for my stay, because my photographer and I didn’t have to walk beyond a two block radius to find the most adorable stoops to shoot in front of. Everything was dressed up so cute for Christmas, with beautiful twinkly lights, wreaths, Christmas trees and other gorgeous decorative accents.

I wore this look on my first night in the city! I met up with my friends Patti and Martin for drinks at The Mark Hotel (where you saw this pic!), and then followed that with dinner at The Flower Shop with our other friend Liz. Unless it’s a pair of heeled boots, I nearly never wear heels out when I’m in New York… especially in the winter! The weather can be unforgiving and unpredictable, so a sturdy, solid pair of boots is an absolute must. My Stuart Weitzman Lowland leather boots have been my favorite go-tos for a day-to-night look like this. They’re extremely comfortable and a pair you can wear all day, but the leather look + over-the-knee style elevates them enough for dinner.

This camel coat is a new one I picked up during all the Black Friday + Cyber Monday sales, and I’m so glad I did! It’s a mid-weight coat, so it’s pretty perfect for pairing with a thick sweater and jeans. I also don’t own a bunch of long coats (not really necessary in Dallas), so I’m glad to have added this one to my collection. It hits just below my knees, so it keeps me warm until my boots can do the rest!
