Whenever my mom is in town, we always manage to carve out some time for shopping. Over the past year that’s mostly been shopping for my house, but on her most recent trip the first weekend in December we decided to take a stroll around Highland Park Village to check out some of the newer stores (Valentino!), and see what was trending at the moment. We always love to go in McQueen, and on that trip I found this elegant little box bag! I love the dainty gold chain detail and subtle ivory leather finish, don’t you? The leather is textured too, so it won’t scratch easily. I really wanted the bag right when we saw it, but I just wasn’t ready to pull the trigger. One month later and I couldn’t stand it anymore… I had to have it!

What I love about this color is it’s versatility – in the colder months it’s a creamy winter white option, and in summer it’ll go with just about any bright or neutral piece I want to pair it with! Y’all may remember I also have this Chanel boy bag in a similar color. I’ve realized that the gunmetal hardware is just not something I reach for very often – it has not been a very useful bag for me. The fact that this box bag has gold hardware is a game changer. I wear gold SO MUCH, and I love the warmer feel it brings to the bag.

PS – if you love a chunky sweater, this ACNE style is a dream! It’s so cozy and I love the oversized fit. The blue base color is so pretty, but it also features a bunch of other colorful threads within it that make it surprisingly versatile and wearable. It’s perfect for tucking into jeans with boots like I’ve done here for a casual weekend look for brunch or a low key dinner with friends. I’m wearing a size small here for reference!
