Favorite Nail Colors for Spring/Summer | The Style Scribe[/halves]

In the spring/summer season, I mostly wear neutral or white polishes unless I’m trying to match a specific outfit. I’m a big fan of pale pinks, creamy whites and nudes that compliment my fair skin tone. All of these colors are neutral enough for work, travel, or whatever! If you’re looking for some new soft neutral colors to throw in the mix this season, here are my five favorites!

PRE-SHOW JITTERS

This is the one I’ve been wearing the most lately and the one you see in these photos! It’s the palest of pinks… so pale you’d think it’s white at first glance. It’s a very opaque polish too, which I love! I’m just not a fan of sheer nail polish, personally. The other reason I love this polish is because it is part of Essie’s Gel Couture collection, which dries fast and looks good longer than every other gel-free polish I’ve ever tried. I always take this polish + the sealing top coat when I travel so I can do a quick touch-up while away! So fab.

TOPLESS & BAREFOOT

Unfortunately this color is not part of the Gel Couture collection, but it’s still one of my favorites regardless! It’s the perfect nude-pink. I always receive compliments on it when I wear it! It’s a wonderful neutral color you can wear to work, weddings and everything in between. It looks good on literally everyone!

ALPINE SNOW

For a true optic white I usually reach for OPI’s Alpine Snow. Like the other polishes I’ve mentioned, it’s more opaque and looks really clean and crisp on manicured nails. The perfect color to wear when you’re trying to show off a tan (or trick people into thinking you have one).

SAND TROPEZ

If I’m craving a cooler undertone, Essie’s Sand Tropez is a really nice beige-grey look. Another color you can definitely wear whenever! I will say, I generally prefer this color on me when I have a tan… Because of the grey undertones, it can wash me out if I’m super pale from winter.

DON’T PRETZEL MY BUTTONS

Another warmer beige polish I love is OPI’s Don’t Pretzel My Buttons! This color has a hint of mocha, so it’s a bit darker than Topless & Barefoot. It’s another shade that looks excellent against bronzed skin.
