With the amount I travel, it’s a little surprising I didn’t have a great weekender-style bag to rely on. That’s why when Paravel reached out about sending me some items, I knew I had to try their popular weekender style for myself! The only bag of this size I already own does not have a zip top opening, so that was a major draw to this bag for me. Pickpocketers are everywhere (especially in Europe), and I like to have my things contained within a zipper to give me more peace of mind as I get from point A to point B. In addition to the zip top opening, I really love that it comes with an optional shoulder/crossbody strap. Again, added security for being able to keep it on my body.
I already knew I was going to love the exterior and design of the bag, but I had no idea how much I could actually fit in this bag until I started packing it up for this trip! Everything you see on the floor and on the bench folds up nicely into this super roomy bag. Even the tote with all of my electronics and snacks! I ended up carrying the two bags separately so I could put a water bottle and salad into my tote as well, but it just shows you how much you can stuff in here if you need to. It truly is HUGE! In addition to plenty of open space, there are also two sizeable zippered compartments on the inside – one has my sunglasses in their cases and the other has all of the converters and cords you see laid out there. Needless to say, I’m super pleased with the weekender and believe it will be super useful for me going forward on all future trips… long or short!
I’m also obsessed with the simplicity and compact size of this cute matching crossbody bag. This is a style I gravitate towards when I travel, as I like to stay hands free since I’m usually holding onto my big camera. This one is plenty spacious on the inside for my phone, a card case, keys, lip gloss, sunglasses, my mophie charger and cord. I love being able to coordinate and match with my luggage, so that’s also a fun little perk to buying a set from Paravel! I chose the more natural color scheme called Scout, but these pieces also come in black, navy and red. Did I mention they can also be personalized and painted?
