1. A LIGHTWEIGHT TRENCH

I’ve been saying this for ages, but one item I wear consistently every single year is a lightweight neutral trench. Come spring, summer or fall, I always find an excuse to pull one out! I have acquired several over the years, but my favorites have all come from Club Monaco. They seem to have perfected the effortless silhouette I crave, whether it’s for dressing up tees and jeans or tying together a sleek dress + heels look. This is the style I’m wearing in this post – unfortunately it’s nearly sold out, but below are some additional styles to check out to create stylish, sophisticated looks for yourself!

2. A FLATTERING PAIR OF SKINNY JEANS

One question I receive a ton on InstaStories is what jeans I am wearing in the videos I post. 99% of the time, it’s this pair. Truly! I wear these so much I actually bought a second pair in the exact same style, wash and size. I just wanted a backup! If you’re looking for a comfortable, quality skinny jean in a classic blue wash, buy a pair and thank me later.

3. A CLASSIC NEUTRAL HANDBAG

I’m all about throwing in a pop of color now and again, but neutrals are my everyday ride or die. In fact, I would say any time I end up with regret over investing money in an item of clothing it’s usually because it’s a bright color and I don’t end up wearing it very often. I can tell you with absolute certainty I have zero buyer’s remorse with my neutral handbags. Especially ones in black or nude! They are the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe, many of which I’ve owned for years and still wear very regularly. Like my camel Givenchy bag – I got it nearly three years ago and I still reach for it multiple times a week. It’s been such a useful piece that goes with everything in my wardrobe, any time of year! I highly recommend investing in a high-quality nude/beige/camel or black handbag. You won’t regret it! Check out a few new faves below:

4. A LITTLE BLACK DRESS

One area of my closet I like to go a little wild with is my cocktail dress collection. I love to play with color, sequins, cool shapes… basically pieces that offer something unique and will make me stand out! The dresses I wore to weddings this summer should be some indication – this dress and this one, for example! With that said, there’s nothing like a fabulous little black dress. They have staying power which makes them an excellent wardrobe staple to invest in! My favorite LBD from last year that I plan to pull out again this fall/winter season is this velvet minidress with puffed shoulders. I wore it SO much last season – so fun and flattering! Below are some LBD’s to take a peek at for this coming season.

5. A COMFORTABLE PAIR OF BOOTS

Aside from jeans, the items I wear during fall/winter most are my boots. They’re so comfortable and look great dressed up or down! Like my handbags, I’ve had many of my boots for years and continue to wear them religiously. I’ve found classic boots to be a very wise investment, so here are some of the best from this season to consider for your own wardrobe:

  • These boots are on sale for under $130 and very similar to my favorite flat suede pair of OTK boots! Such a great price.
  • If you’re looking for a classic pair for wearing with dresses, jeans and more, get these.
  • Loving this new slouchy style from Tory Burch!
  • Obsessed with the Western vibes coming off of these boots. So chic!
  • This is the pair I picked up for the coming season! They’re perfectly slouchy and the heel is sturdy and low enough for all day wear. So cute!
  • This Gucci pair is quite the splurge, but OMG!
  • These suede knee-high boots are under $230 and come in two classic neutral colors.
