I wanted to share some news about Instagram that you guys might not know about. They recently rolled out an update that stops tracking user behavior within the app after five minutes. For example, if you “swipe up” on one of the pieces I mention on Instagram Stories or go to my blog within Instagram’s browser window, the cookie window for making purchases at any retailer stops after five minutes! Sadly, this means that I lose out on any credit/commission I’d get for sending you to that store and making a purchase if you don’t buy something immediately. I personally never make purchases that fast (especially on my phone!), and I certainly don’t expect you guys to either. With that said, if you do happen to want to shop through my links, the best way to do that is to visit my blog from your regular browser window on your phone (Safari) or on your computer (any browser).

I always post the items I share on InstaStories and Instagram in THE SHOP in three different tabs: TUESDAYTEN, INSTASTORIES and LIKETOKNOW.IT. The first features all of the wish list items I feature in my Instagram-exclusive series TuesdayTen. The second features any item I wear on InstaStories: this includes pieces from my try-on sessions, beauty products, travel favorites, etc. Really anything you see me wearing or talking about on InstaStories can be found in the InstaStories tab! Last but not least, if you have a LIKEtoKNOW.it account but don’t enjoy shopping on the app, I have a feed of those shoppable photos in the LIKETOKNOW.IT tab in THE SHOP!

With all of that said, I won’t be discontinuing the “swipe up” feature out of convenience for you! I know many of you like the simplicity of shopping in this manner. But for those of you who want to shop through my links specifically and give me the credit for that, just avoid shopping within Instagram’s browser and visit my blog/THE SHOP directly from Safari on your phone.
