Because I’m always talking to the camera, I’m constantly receiving questions about my makeup routine on InstaStories! I realize it’s been soooo long since I shared an update to my everyday makeup routine… but for good reason. It really doesn’t change! I’m a creature of habit, to the nth degree. I have used the same bronzer, powder, concealer, mascara, etc for YEARS. With that said, there are a few new additions that it might be helpful to share with you guys. Below you’ll find a step-by-step look at my current everyday makeup routine. Oh and also, you can shop my dress here!

FACE

After I’ve showered and applied a mixture of this moisturizer and this serum, I apply Armani Luminous Silk foundation in #4. I recently replaced my Laura Mercier foundation with this as the formula I’ve used for years was recently discontinued. And I actually love Armani Silk even more! This formula is even more lightweight and lets my skin breathe. I don’t struggle with acne or any major spots on my face that need covering up, so I prefer a lighter coverage foundation. A little goes a long way too! I just put one pump (smaller than a dime!) on my fingers and massage around my face – I don’t use brushes or sponges for my foundation. I just feel like I do a better job of applying evenly with my hands.

Once that’s rubbed in, I’ll apply this NARS Creamy Concealer in Vanilla with this soft brush (the eyes are more delicate, hence the brush). Finally, I grab this powder puff and dab into this translucent powder by Laura Mercier. I rub the sponge together so it absorbs the loose powder and gets it even before patting all over my face and eyes to set the look.

For bronzer, I have used Benefit’s Hoola since college! Such a great buildable color. I’m super fair, so I can recommend this as a wonderful product for blondes and other fair-skinned gals. Over the last couple of years I’ve really loved using Laura Geller’s Blush-n-Brighten blush in Tropic Hues. It adds a touch of pink and a subtle highlight to my cheeks!

EYES

I have very fair eyebrows (they’re pretty much platinum like my lashes!), so I fill them in every day using this shadow in Bali. It’s the ideal ashy-brown hue! I use a flat, thin brush like this to apply it.

While I know this isn’t helpful because it’s not available for purchase, I’ve been using the two lightest shades in this Bare Minerals Bare Naturals palette as my base eyeshadow lately. I always add a shimmery shadow on my eyelid, and lately have been switching between Urban Decay Sin (shimmery pink) and Urban Decay Easy Baked (shimmery gold).

I only ever line the edge of my top lashes into a very subtle cat eye. I start the line right in the middle, starting thin and fanning out to a slightly thicker line that extends just beyond the outer corner of my eye. My favorite easy-to-apply liquid liner is Stila Stay-All-Day Liquid Liner. I use Alloy, Black and Brown most, but I do have other colors!

My lashes are probably the most crucial step in my entire makeup routine! I use NeuLASH every night before bed (I talk about it more here), but as far is in my actual makeup routine, I start with this Givenchy base mascara + primer. It adds amazing volume and length even prior to applying my regular black mascara! I apply it and let it dry for 30 seconds or so before applying CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara in Black. I’ll apply one coat, but drag the sharp bristles through the lashes several times to disrupt any clumps that do form and separate the lashes. After that first coat, I’ll let my mascara dry a bit before plying a second coat, this time taking even more care to drag the bristles through my lashes and break up the lashes even more. The end result is thick, long lashes that are separated and not at all clumpy!

LIPS

I have a few favorite lipsticks and glosses right now! For a soft pink-nude, I always use Urban Decay in Naked – so perfect! Not exactly matte, but not shiny either. Classic and perfect for everyday wear. Another one I’ve been using lately is Laura Mercier’s Creme Coral – it’s a little darker and has more brown in it, but still pink! I’ve also really loved Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip in Mauve Squad – so pretty with a subtle metallic sheen to it.

As far as glosses go, my favorites are all Chanel: 119 Bourgeousie, 712 Melted Honey and 774 Excitation. All three are fairly sheer and just add a touch of shimmer overlay to my lipsticks!

As you can see, I keep things pretty simple unless I’m doing a big shoot or going out at night! I’m a believer in less is more in both my makeup and skincare routine. Hope you guys enjoyed this update! I’ll try to do a better job of sharing updates to my beauty, skincare and hair routines going forward!!
