REFORMATION MARABELLA SMOCKED LINEN DRESS

One of my all-time favorite summer dresses has been this neutral off-shoulder linen number I found at REFORMATION in 2015. I’ve worn it repeatedly over the last several years, but it looks like it’s time for the dress to retire… thanks to a cigarette burn I found on it (not mine, btw). Side note, I’m pretty sure Meghan Markle owned the same dress at one point, but I definitely didn’t know about that until recently! That dress was one I wore for nearly everything: brunch, dinner, first dates, traveling, you name it! It was super lightweight and ideal for Texas summers. Needless to say, I’m sad it’s time to give it up!

While I am disappointed to be tossing that one aside, I am pleased to say I found it’s replacement! This linen smocked bodice midi dress is by the exact same brand, and features a square neck and puffed sleeves reminiscent of this style Meghan Markle wore earlier this year. I definitely think she’d approve! The smocked bodice is surprisingly structured and super flattering. There’s a thigh high slit which I actually don’t mind, but may end up getting the top part sewn together just a bit – Dallas is known for being windy, and I don’t need any wardrobe malfunctions! I loved the mini floral print on this one, but decided to order it in white as well for a more neutral option. I’m just obsessed with this dress!

REFORMATION is a brand that others should strive to be like. They make incredible clothes (effortless styles, romantic, flattering!), they pride themselves on sustainability and treating their factory workers right, AND the label is size inclusive, offering up to a size 22! I promise this post is not sponsored – I truly just love this label!

PS: this neutral minidress seems like a fresh version of the one I had if you wanted something similar! This one just looks like it might end up being too short on me.
