SUMMER CASHMERE

06.19

Summertime is probably a strange time to buy cashmere sweaters, but knowing I was heading to chilly London I wanted to buy a couple of cozy layers to pack in my suitcase. And regardless of the time of year, I think it’s always worth buying quality staples if you find something really great! Having had so much success with Everlane earlier this spring, I decided to give their cashmere sweaters a go – the prices are amazing for the quality of the knitwear. This particular sweater is more on the expensive end of their collection at $145 due to the heavier weight, but many of their cashmere sweaters are right at $100! In addition to the effortless fit and comfy feel, Everlane has the best neutral color options. I decided to go for ivory and grey, as I felt those would be the most versatile transitional pieces. The other piece I want to mention in this outfit is this pair of off-white pointy toe pumps! The second I saw them appear in the New Arrivals section on NET-A-PORTER they jumped to the top of my wish list. Such a classic shoe style in an interesting, useful and sophisticated neutral! As you may remember with my cream booties this and last winter, this ivory hue has been incredibly wearable in my wardrobe. I love the modern touch they bring to my outfits! As I mentioned in Monday’s post, I’d suggesting sizing up in these shoes – I normally wear a 9.5 and took a 40.5 in these!

My best tip for keeping shoes like this looking clean? Take them to a shoe hospital (Deno’s in Highland Park Village if you’re in Dallas!) and have them cleaned/touched up every season. They do an excellent job of removing and hiding marks!

PS: My jeans are back in stock in every size! They were my best-selling piece last month and have been such a good style to mix things up. Love them!! They fit true to size, but the denim has no stretch – just something to keep in mind when ordering!
