For our last full day in Provence, we decided to treat ourselves with an afternoon at the Sisley Spa within La Bastide de Gordes. This luxury hotel is part of the Airelles Collection, and is situated right on the hillside of Gordes – it’s just a block away from the center of town, so it’s a great place to stay if you want to be central and walk into town! The property is incredible. Lush, green lawns, a sparkling pool, multiple terraces for al fresco dining and drinks, a garden, and not to mention some of the best views of the French countryside.
In addition to a fancy lunch, we both enjoyed massages at the spa. In addition to the treatments, the spa features an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and cold water treatment room, as well as space indoor and outdoor to lounge. Needless to say we had an amazing day! Highly recommend visiting this gorgeous hotel, even if you can’t afford to rent a room (depending on dates, rooms rates can start at €320-€1,150 a night!) – book a treatment at the spa or make a reservation at the restaurant. Definitely worth it so you can explore the hotel!!
In addition to our lovely day at the Sisley Spa, we stopped by Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, which is just a short drive from the hotel. It’s currently under renovations so we couldn’t see the interiors, but it was still worth a visit! It’s another place that is super popular during lavender season (which starts June 14th), as the fields below the Abbey are filled with rows upon rows of this fragrant flowering plant. Get there early to beat the tour buses!
We actually started our day at the Abbey before making our way to the hotel for the day, and on our drive there discovered this amazing viewpoint where you could see the town of Gordes from right across the way. It was also a great spot for photos of the countryside – such a fun surprise! If you want to make sure you hit this viewpoint on your trip, Google says the address of the viewpoint is 13 Route de Cavaillon.

I’m currently planning a trip to the South of France and these recommendations are fabulous! I love checking out luxury spas, so I’ve added this one to the list as a birthday treat! xo, Natalie http://nataliastyleblog.com
