Happy Friday! I’m in Kentucky for the weekend celebrating the wedding of two of my very dear friends, Taylor and John! So happy to be here and get them married, and excited to catch up with some college friends who I don’t get to see very often. To keep today’s post simple and fun, I thought I’d share ten items on my wish list for the fall season! I likely won’t be getting most of these, but a girl can dream right?!
- These cap-toe boots are at the very top of my list! Such a chic staple. My size sadly seems to already be sold out, but I’m hopeful they come back in stock so I can snag ’em!
- I really would love to invest in a coat like this or this – such a beautiful color! I know I’d wear either style a bunch.
- This jacquard minidress is such a gorgeous piece! Love the fall colors and flattering silhouette. Also obsessed with this midi dress with the same neckline, also by Etro. Botha are so, so fab!
- Since I’m considering a move to Chicago and will be visiting in January to test out the winter for myself, a long down coat is definitely high on my list and likely one of the few items here I will be purchasing. I’m looking at this coat from Moncler and this coat from Canada Goose – which do you think I should get?! Either would be a huge investment (I actually cringed at the Moncler price), but I want to get one that will look good AND do the job it’s supposed to do. I’m also planning a trip to Germany in December and might need it for that trip too!
- One piece that is actually no longer on my wish list (I bought it with my Poshmark earnings last week!!), is this Lela Rose dress. The pearl trim and swiss dot fabric is SO ME. It is incredibly flattering and a classic style I’ll have forever! Worth every penny.
- I also wouldn’t mind investing in another pair of Golden Goose sneakers! I wear mine so much, they are that comfortable. If I do, I’d probably get a style with black on it like this!
- I likely won’t be buying a handbag this season, but if I did it would be one of these!
- Another clothing item I’d love to get this season is a suede midi skirt like this. So chic and a lifelong wardrobe staple!
- I’m a sucker for a good cape. Loving this one and this one this season!
- As I mentioned in Tuesday’s post, I’d really like to pick up this pair of pants. Aside from leather pants, I don’t have any trousers in my closet! I love the high-rise fit and flared leg.

Your thinking of moving to Chicago?! That’s exciting and I’m glad you are testing out the Winters. I always tell people that before they move here!

Personally, I think both of those coats are overkill and you will hate wearing something that constricting while visiting Germany. Think about it. It’s like walking around in a sleeping bag all day and really restricts your freedom of movement, even with a two-way zipper.
If you’re determined to buy either of those brands, I would look for a shorter option.
as a southerner turned new yorker, i can tell you that you will live in that coat for a few months in chicago! they are both splurges, but if you feel great in the moncler, it is worth it. if you don’t move somewhere colder, you might cringe a little later, but at least you’ll have something you feel great in whenever you visit somewhere cold :)
if you do move, anyone you run into december – feb will see you in that vs your actual outfit, whether you are on your way to the gym or a dinner party. good luck with your moving decision! love your content!
I ordered the Moncler Hudson coat in light brown. I have an old Moncler that I have worn for at least 10 years and still love. The Hudson is a huge investment, but anticipate that it will last for at least as long. Moncler coats are lighter than Canada Goose coats.
