DINING IN DALLAS // FOUR NEW FAVES

09.30

While I update my city guides whenever I travel or try new places, I often forget to share what’s happening in my own city! Dallas has long been a destination for dining – we have so many great chefs and restaurants around town! Dallas was even named Bon Appetit’s 2019 Restaurant City of the Year! If you’re looking to try somewhere new, don’t miss these current favorites of mine:

THE HENRYThis lively restaurant and bar is situated in the heart of uptown. It’s a great spot to consider for date night or a fun night out with your girlfriends. They’ve got an amazing rooftop bar for pre- or post-dinner drinks!

HOMEWOOD – This spot just opened this spring on the corner of Oak Lawn and Avondale. It’s where Beck’s Prime used to be! I love the warm interiors and inviting ambience. From fresh oysters to house-made pasta, this menu has something for everyone. The blueberry bread pudding is NOT to be missed!

IL BRACCO In the mood for Italian? Make a res here! The spicy gemelli is insanely good, and actually spicy! The crispy artichokes are an awesome app too. Located in Preston Center.

TULUM – If a stylish space with a great menu is what you’re looking for, don’t miss Tulum on Oak Lawn! That’s where I took these photos inside – don’t you love the palm print wallpaper and tiled floors?! So fun. You absolutely must order the charred octopus and short rib tamale! So fresh, different and delicious.

I’m also dying to try Beverley’s and Paradiso soon! So many good new spots!

For Dallas dinners and nights out during the fall, you will most likely see me in a jean + blazer or trench combo. Heels dress up the look without making the outfit seem too extra – not that that’s a bad thing!! I just feel most comfortable in jeans like these by NYDJ at Nordstrom. The dark wash is on point for fall and very flattering! They are polished enough for wearing at the office (at least on casual Friday), but can transition seamlessly to date night dinner or to a comfy travel outfit. They’re slightly cropped and skinny all the way to the ankle! Perfect for pairing with pumps, booties and transitional sandals.

Never shopped NYDJ? The price point is awesome, the pieces are comfortable + classic, and they carry extended sizes! Shop more chic NYDJ styles at Nordstrom below:
