In December’s installment of One Piece, Four Ways, we’re tackling faux leather leggings! I’ve received a couple questions about how to style them appropriately in my newsletter, so I thought I’d dedicate a post to the subject. I have amassed quite the collection of leather and faux leather pants and leggings over the years – they are so useful and comfortable! From casual errands outfits to dressy cocktail looks, they’re one of the most versatile pieces in my winter wardrobe.

These days I mostly only wear my faux leather leggings when I know I’ll be wearing them with a coat, trench, cardigan, vest, cape or some other layer aside from a top/sweater most of the day. Either that, or I’ll pair them with a sweater/top that features a longer hem (like the one-shoulder sequin top above)! My butt/saddlebags are a bit of a problem area for me, and I generally like to keep those concealed if possible. If you’ve got the confidence to rock ’em without a longer layer, go for it!
