While it’s not often I wear athleisure attire outside of travel or to and from workouts, this category is one I receive requests for again and again! In case you missed it, I featured a bunch of cute athleisure outfits in the Holiday/Winter Capsule Wardrobe that I released in November – definitely check that out if you haven’t already! It features 27 chic cold-weather staples and over 150 outfit ideas to get the most out of your wardrobe.
If you need more inspo, this post is for you! Hope you guys enjoy, and stay tuned for a new At Any Age post next month. You can find my previous posts in this series right here!

I am 32 and have been looking fir the perfect leather jacket. Now it makes sense why it has never really felt age appropriate! Thanks, love this
I totally think anyone can pull off a moto jacket, no matter their age! I just think it depends on how you wear it. My friend Amy (FashionJackson.com) is in her 30’s and looks amazing in moto jackets! I used to love wearing a regular moto, but now I veer more towards a drape-neck style leather jacket for a less edgy and more polished look. Hope this helps!

I love your blog – great stuff! I have bought many things you recommend and read you every day. When you divide by age, however, I am confused. I am 51, and I get that some styles are better for my 20 year old daughter than me (crop tops, leggings without a longer shirt, graphic tees to name a few….). But when you have the Amazon coat for someone in their 30s, but a long sweater for 50 plus, what am I missing? GGs not okay, Vejas okay? I guess what I am saying is that age distinctions like this are problematic, if not emblematic of the pervasive sexism in our culture. As a fit woman in her early 50s, I still feel like most wardrobe options are open to me (after all, I’m only a few years older than Gwynneth, and check her out at the Globes….) And as a final point – 50 is not 70 — please don’t lump us in with the octogenarians : ). Thanks for listening and thanks for all you do!
Hi Lindsay,
Thanks for reaching out! These posts are just meant as inspiration! I’m not saying you MUST wear certain things – I just put outfits together based on what I think looks good and what I would personally wear. Take that with what you will!

Thanks for the great athleisure ideas, Merritt. We live near wine country in Germany, and spend a lot of Saturday’s and Sunday’s in the region and I’m typically in my dog walking clothes as we tend to take a hike through the vineyards and into the surrounding hills before descending into the wine villages for lunch and winery stops. Luckily, this region is very laid back and filled with vacationers, so I don’t feel too out of place, plus it’s lunch so it’s a bit more laid back anyways. Although I think I’d bring a change of clothes in the car for dinner, LOL. Thanks for the great ideas for adding to my “dog walking through wine country”wardrobe!
Also….LOVED your posts on the Christmas markets…glad you got to enjoy them!
The older you get, the better you know than to spend too much on sneakers? Love the selections here–for any age!
I’m 48 and would wear all of these cute outfits. Thanks for the inspiration.
I just discovered you and I must say that I LOVE how you style “50s” Sophisticated and simple. A lack of time and energy for myself while raising four daughters has left me with nothing to wear and no idea of where to start. THIS is where I am starting!
