INTERIOR INSPO: NEUTRAL REFRESH

INTERIORS INSPO: NEUTRAL REFRESH

Since I will be downsizing from a 2,000 square foot house to about 1,100 square feet (give or take depending on which apartment!) in Chicago, I definitely won’t be able to take everything in my house with me when I go. There are pieces I actually want to get rid of, like all of my current guest bedroom furniture – I’ve never showed it on here because it’s all stuff from my old apartment from a decade ago! It’s been through some wear and tear over the years, and it’s also no longer my aesthetic – think dark woods… haha! I also will need to get rid of my dining table and full-sized glass desk, as they just take up too much space for an apartment. The desk is one I’ve had for years as well, so I’m not sad to see it go either.

The things I’m definitely taking with me include all of my living room furniture + rug, my dining chairs, Liza’s white desk (small enough for an apartment office space!), my white nightstands, and hopefully my king-sized bed, master bedroom rug and dresser. I’ll be keeping all of my mirrors and most of the art in my house as well! Again, some of these items may not end up working depending on the actual floorplan I end up in.

Either way, I’ll absolutely be selling a few items and probably buying a few others… naturally, I’ve totally got decor and furniture on the brain! One thing I’d like to do with my master bedroom is take it in a more neutral direction – I think the only thing I need to change is my blue headboard, and I may find different nightstands. I’m planning to use my white nighstands in the guest room, especially since they’ll match my white desk in there!

We’ll see what happens, but in the meantime here are some neutral items inspiring me right now!
