The Fall 2020 Capsule Wardrobe has arrived! This is my biggest capsule wardrobe yet, but kind of by accident. The number of items is actually less than the Fall 2019 capsule, but somehow the number of outfits has eclipsed all of my capsules to date. I guess you could say it is a by-product of pandemic boredom! Either way, you’ll get a ton of outfit inspiration! Below is a link to download this latest capsule, and just below that are all of the links to shop it. Please note you can also shop straight from the PDF! Every product in the Capsule Wardrobe is linked (both the image and text!), and there are additional sizing + budget options at the back of the PDF as well.

EDITOR’S NOTE
In keeping with the times of COVID-19 and continued social distancing, I tried to keep this capsule on the more casual side! With that said, this capsule is not made up of loungewear – this capsule features real outfits you can wear while working from home, running errands and for those rare times you are able to get out and about for dinner or getting together with friends.
As with all of my capsule wardrobes, you should never feel the need to buy everything included. I create these capsules featuring items many of us already own, and items I’ve already featured in past capsules! From simple sweaters and timeless jackets to versatile neutral accessories and classic jean styles, this capsule should be relatively easy for you to recreate with what’s hanging in your closet. I only own a couple of the exact items in this capsule, like this lace trim cami, but plan to use this PDF as a guide for styling the amazing closet staples I’ve amassed over the years! While I don’t have all the exact pieces, I have very similar styles that I can sub in and out for various items.
I made this capsule for warmer climates like Texas (where I live), and didn’t feature a ton of heavy fabrics since it doesn’t get cool here until November. If you live up north or somewhere chilly, swap out the pieces in this capsule for heavier items in similar colors! Not wearing heels at all right now? Swap out the heeled boots for a flat style you already own. Get creative and make your own weather-appropriate capsule with a little guidance from mine!
If you do happen to pick up a new item or two from this capsule, great! But if you’re not shopping right now (totally understandable!!) and still want to show support, please share this capsule/my blog with your friends or on your Instagram stories and tag me (@merrittbeck). Word of mouth and personalized recommendations from friends are the best way for my blog to grow! It is with your support and sharing that I am able to continue creating content like this for all of you!! Thank you to those of you who continue to read, follow, download, shop and support me. It truly means the world!!!

Merritt
I love these capsules – they are such an inspiration for me! Thank you for all of your hard work.
Thank you, Ashley! I’m so glad to hear that!!

Nice job!!! I would be substituting the denims with tailored cropped pants for office looks. (Some of us still work in the office)
Glad to hear it! Yes, as I mention in the capsule you should absolutely tailor it to your specific lifestyle. Thanks for sharing!

Your capsules are great, thank you! Just wanted to share a bit of feedback that I’m not a big fan of having to download a PDF to view the capsule. Is there a way you could also make it more friendly for viewing on your site? Thanks for considering it!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually have heard from a number of people that they enjoy printing out these PDFs, so I’m probably going to continue doing it in PDF format… but I’ll certainly look into other options!

These are SO helpful Merritt! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into what you do. Now more than ever, it’s important I think to ‘shop’ what we have and to look for creative ideas of outfits.
It certainly shows that you love what you do and you’re so gifted at it. Thank you!
Thanks Merritt, I know how much effort you put to do this great job! I will renovate my fall wardrobe based on your suggestions, fortunately I live in Miami so the weather is quite similar to Texas and I dont need to make a lot of changes.
Thanks
Another fantastic and inspirational capsule. Well done and thank you!
You never fail to amaze me, Merritt! Thank you for all your passionate work. I just wanted to point out that the link for the Utility Jacket is not working. Take care and stay healthy!
Hi Marie,
I just checked the link and it is working for me! If you aren’t based in the US, that may be the issue – the brand is Banana Republic and they have a separate website for each country!
Hope this helps!
Merritt
You are so correct, Merritt. I did find the jacket at Banana Republic in Canada. It was useful to know the retailer’s name. Thank you
Truly cannot imagine how long these must take – bravo! LOVED your Fall picks!
Thank you for the fantastic capsule you created. Loved many of your pics and I appreciate the amount of time and effort that went into its creation.
Just discovered you, and I’m LOVING this! I will be looking to purchase several pieces. I’d like to take a look at the other options you share at the end, but I don’t know how to figure out where to find those items. Am I missing something? Should there be links? Or do you have another post I’ve missed where you share the alternatives?
Hi Angelle,
Thanks for reaching out! The entire PDF is linked, so you should be able to click on each item. If you’re having trouble on a certain device (like an iPad, for example), try downloading the PDF to your computer or phone and try using it there. I haven’t heard of any issues from anyone regarding the links working, so it must be a device issue! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Merritt
Thank you for this capsule wardrobe. You’re fabulous!
Hello!
I love your capsules and look forward to each season. Speaking of which, when will you debut Winter 2020-2021? It’s snowing today in Minneapolis!
Thank you!
Thank you! Not until right before Thanksgiving – stay tuned!
Merritt
It’s November and I’m still smitten with this capsule. I see a white/paisley dress (item 5 from the left) and a tan/black plaid shirt (item 10 from left) on your wardrobe hanger showing lol the items but are not featured in the capsule. Where can I see these? Or perhaps they were from your existing wardrobe? Even if they’re sold out, I’d like to know who made them:)
Looking forward to winter’s capsule!
Hi Anne,
Thanks for reaching out! So glad to hear you are enjoying the Fall capsule! The photos I take for the PDF aren’t the exact capsule items I link, because I don’t own everything in each capsule – the photos are of things in my closet that look like items in the capsule! The dress you asked about is an old MANGO dress, and the plaid top is by Apiece Apart, also old!
Hope this helps!
xx
