Happy Tuesday! I know it’s early in the week, but I already can’t wait for the weekend. My mom is driving up from Austin on Friday for a couple nights! I can’t wait to have her here and I know Reeses is excited to see her too! Speaking of Reeses, yesterday was her last day of wearing the dreaded cone of shame. She wore it for a total of 14 days! I’m sure she’s happy to be rid of it, but I’m a rule-follower and wanted her incision to heal up properly.

I think she and I are both eager for her to go back to doggie day care a couple of times a week! It’s great for socializing her and gives me a ton of uninterrupted work time. In just over a month, Reeses will get even more socialization when she starts her boot camp at Bevill Dog Behavior! She’ll be there for four weeks, learning how to become a calm, confident pup. And at the end I’ll be learning too – you can’t just train a dog, you’ve gotta be trained yourself so you can keep up all the great stuff she learned when she gets home! While I’ll be sad for her to be away for four weeks, I can’t lie – I’m pretty excited to be able to sleep in for a month!!! I’ve also got a couple of road trips planned while she’s away – so pumped for a change of scenery. Hoping by October it’ll be cool enough to wear some of the chic items in this week’s EDIT! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for fall.
