How was everyone’s holiday weekend? I had a pretty great weekend, even though I didn’t do a whole lot. On Friday my friend and hair guy, Monte, came to my house to give my highlights a touch up and give me a trim. It had been maybe a year since my last hair cut, so I was in desperate need! There’s something about getting your hair done that changes your whole vibe – when you look good, you feel good… am I right? I didn’t have any plans Friday night, so I polished off the rest of a Prisoner wine bottle I’d opened the night before and watched The Vampire Diaries with my dog.

Saturday I grabbed dinner with one of my best friends at one of my favorite Dallas restaurants, Rise No 1. The food is soooo good – it’s French, and they’re known for their incredible souffles. They are also doing an amazing job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic. We sat on the patio where they had each table separated by a curtain and spaced out quite a bit, and the menus were digital via a QR code on the table! Highly recommend Rise No 1 for your next outing – while not required, reservations are a good idea.

Sunday I caught up on work and then yesterday I went to my friend’s pool for a couple hours! All in all, it was a great Labor Day Weekend… all things considered!
