If you’ve been following along on InstaStories for my new house updates, you’ll know one of the first things I tried to tackle after the big move was to style the bookshelves in my living area. This is what it looks like right now, but I just got two pieces back from the framer and am waiting on two other small art pieces and books that I ordered recently to continue styling the space! I love the look of layered art, so that will definitely be a theme in this area and the bookshelves in my kitchen. I’m keeping the shelves warm, neutral and gold, and I LOVE IT so far! It really adds a luxe, cozy touch to the room. I’m working with interior designer (and Shop Anecdote co-founder!), Amelia Canham Eaton, for this space! She just sent me some fabrics to consider for the sofas, chairs and pillows and I’m loving the direction we’re headed. Will share more on that soon (and share sources for everything on my shelves!), but in the meantime I wanted to chat about WFH style!
As you’ve heard me say before, I’m a firm believer in getting ready for the day. Sure, there are some days I wear sweats or stay in my workout clothes, but most of the time I put on an actual outfit! I definitely think there’s something to be said for clothes influencing your attitude and outlook. I always feel more confident when I look cute, and that starts with my outfit! One of my favorite WFH looks is a comfortable pair of skinny jeans with a lace cami and cozy cardigan. While you could easily go with a t-shirt here, I love how the lace on the cami elevates my look for a more polished outfit! My cami is currently on sale for under $20 – I’m wearing a small. This cardigan is a great budget-friendly find too for only $59! If you’re looking for some inspiration for your everyday work-from-home looks, below are some cute and comfy staples to consider!
