New year, fresh cut! In case you missed it on Instastories last week, I got a hair cut. I’d been needing one for awhile, as my hair had gotten really stringy and felt damaged. I didn’t want to go as short as I did a couple years ago, but definitely needed to chop a few inches off! When worn straight, it hits me right at my collarbones. Worn curly it feels like a lob! I love that I’m still able to throw it in a pretty high ponytail for my workouts, and it feels fresh, thick and healthy on the ends.
Another new things around these parts is this cozy teddy jacket by Shop One Third! This female-founded jacket label is by one of my Chicago-based blogger friends, Anna Wisniewski (of See Anna Jane!) and her former Trunk Club coworker and friend, Coabi Kastan. They noticed a white space in the market for jackets (also known as “third pieces” in the fashion industry) and set out to create a collection of versatile, stylish jackets for women to wear on a day to day basis. From sophisticated tweed styles to super soft and casual finds like this teddy jacket, they’ve got something for everyone! The quality of their pieces is outstanding, and the price points are much more approachable than contemporary labels I love like Veronica Beard. They’ve been rolling out a couple new styles each season since they launched in 2018, and they were kind enough to send me this jacket to try for winter!
This teddy jacket is *so* soft and the perfect piece for the season and our current lifestyle! Throw it on over workout clothes on chilly mornings, wear it with leggings and sneakers for working from home, or dress it up with jeans and heeled ankle boots for a lunch or dinner out. As far as sizing goes, I chose a medium and the fit is perfect. There’s plenty of room for me to wear a sweater underneath, which I appreciate! Another detail worth noting is this jacket features very deep pockets. Ideal for walks with Reeses when I gotta carry my phone, keys, baggies and more! The other style they launched this season is this creamy fleece pullover, which is super cute too.
